Dog hydrotherapy Singapore

Warm-water hydrotherapy for stronger movement.

ARK’s underwater treadmill uses buoyancy, water resistance and controlled settings to support mobility and muscle conditioning while reducing weight-bearing stress on joints.

Every pet is assessed individually. Treatment suitability and outcomes vary by condition.

How hydrotherapy supports movement

Hydrotherapy harnesses the properties of water to improve mobility and overall conditioning. Buoyancy reduces weight-bearing stress on joints, while resistance helps muscles work through controlled movement.

Warm water at 29–30°C supports circulation and can help ease aches during a session. Water also provides sensory feedback that can build body awareness. At ARK, resistance is adjusted using water height, belt speed, incline and jets according to the individual pet.

A session tailored to your dog

The underwater treadmill programme is calibrated to the dog’s size, strength, confidence and rehabilitation goal. Dogs are introduced to the equipment progressively, and the team monitors movement throughout the session.

Hydrotherapy may form one part of a wider plan that includes exercise, manual therapy or other modalities. It is not suitable for every pet, so ARK assesses the dog before recommending the programme.
